American Idol 2012 Live Recap: The Top 4 Perform (VIDEOS)

;When American Idol 2012 resumes tonight on FOX, the top 4 finalists will perform three songs apiece, including two individual performances as well as a duet. But which tunes will Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips perform for America? Here's a sneak peek at the song list, as tweeted this morning by the show's official Twitter account.

One round of the competition will feature songs with a so-termed California Dreamin' theme. Included in the mix are Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", "Faithfully" by Journey, Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up" and Etta James' "Steal Away". But which hopeful is matched with which tune? That important bit of info hasn't been released, but Phillip's style would be a good match for the CCR tune; it's easy to see him throwing his entire body into the music. Jessica could be well-served by tackling the legendary Etta James, and "You Raise Me Up" seems like precisely the kind of song balladeer Hollie could nail on a good night.

The other round of the competition will feature songs the contestants wish they'd written. Listed are Jennifer Holliday's "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going", "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt, Damien Rice's "Volcano", and James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World".

Also slated to be featured are two duets: Maroon 5's "This Love" and The Bangles' classic "Eternal Flame".

Who's singing what? Who should sing what but won't? Tune in to the American Idol 2012 top 4 performance show tonight at 8 PM on FOX and find out.
